Ivan Florez
Ivan D. Florez, is an pediatrician who received his medical degree from and had residence training at the University of Antioquia (Medellin, Colombia). He holds a master’s degree in clinical Epidemiology and is PhD Candidate in Health Research Methodology/Health Services Research at McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada).
Currently he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pediatrics at University of Antioquia, and Assistant professor (part-time) at the School of Rehabilitation at McMaster University.
He is Former Deputy Director of Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) for the Health Technology Assessment agency of Colombia (IETS) , and He is the current leader of the AGREE Collaboration, director of Cochrane Colombia, Academic/Associate editor for Systematic Reviews and PlosONE, and member of the Guideline International Network (G-I-N), COVID-END initiative, the SPOR Evidence Alliance (Canada), the GRADE working group. His scholarly work has focused on CPG (development and implementation), Knowledge Synthesis (Systematic reviews and Network Meta-analysis), Knowledge translation and Implementation Science, Pediatrics, and Childhood Gastroenteritis.
Dr Florez has participated in the development and implementation of many Clinical Practice Guidelines in Colombia, Latin America and North America and has track record of over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals.)
