Research focused on advanced evidence synthesis and guideline methodology. Certified guideline methodologist and currently chair of the EAES Guidelines Subcommittee. Served as coordinator or member of several guideline development groups, serving as subject editor in Surgical Endoscopy, and associate editor in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Reviewer for governmental and non-profit grant awarding bodies of Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Canada. Consultant general surgeon at the Papageorgiou General Hospital of Thessaloniki.
